Seems like he should be fired again, but the FOP will be there to protect his "right" to assault other police officers. If I hit a co-worker, I would be fired as would nearly everyone else. I am sure there are circumstances to consider, but there are few that could even be considered as even a partial excuse. Being drunk at 2 in the morning isn't one of them.
